Tickets ‘Resistance or Rituals’ available
On Sunday 9th of November the Praemium Erasmianum Foundation and DutchCulture, in cooperation with the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, present a public event exploring the relationship between performing arts and social change in an international perspective. We will look at the idea of the performing arts as a reflection of society, through the eyes of Frie Leysen and artists and theatre-makers whom she admires.
A keynote speech by theatre director Peter Sellars (winner Erasmus Prize, 1998) is followed by an interview and group discussion with festival director Frie Leysen, conservatory director Paulo Zuben (Brazil), theatre director Seong-Hee Kim (South Korea) and theatre director Amir Reza Koohestani (Iran). Neil Wallace (De Doelen) is moderator.
