This year, the selection committee has chosen five winners from the thirty nine nominations. A festive award ceremony was held at The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences in Amsterdam to honour the extraordinary achievement of this year’s winning researchers.
Since 1988, the Praemium Erasmianum Foundation awards annual Research Prizes in the fields of Humanities, Social Science and Law. A maximum of five prizes of € 3,000 each are awarded to young academic researchers who have written a PhD dissertation of outstanding quality. The relevant faculties of the Dutch universities are asked to nominate candidates.
